Raseri spotlights a hard worker

Raseri, Inc team members voted on account manager, Craig Walker, as this week’s top guy after noticing the passion he exerts into his work day after day.
“He works harder than anyone,” said Rick Knutsen, C.E.O. of Raseri.
Prior to working at Raseri, Walker worked as a roofer for 6 years, during part of which he owned his own roofing company. With the responsibility came a great deal of risks--Walker suffered several heat strokes. After the fourth one, he knew it was time to travel down a different career path.
Walker began working in direct sales and marketing in August 2011 after hearing his younger brother Clint Walker talk about the opportunity it was offering him while working in an office in Columbus, Ohio.
“The goals I want to hit, I can actually hit in this business,” Walker said.
Now Walker is training and developing new account representatives with the same energy he displayed when he came into the business. In between training, interviewing and having fun, he's always reminding his peers about his goals for the future, such as starting a family and moving to a warmer climate.
Appropriately, Craig ran his meeting today on steps for creating vision for oneself. He stressed the importance of having a clear direction for hitting one's goals.
  • ·         Work backwards—begin with the end in mind
  • ·         It starts with you. Recognize your strengths and weaknesses, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of those around you and see what you can learn from them.
  • ·         Believe in your mentors.
  • ·         Follow through—do what you say you’re going to do.
  • ·         You are going to have to work hard. Remember that nothing worth it is every easy.
  • ·         Forget the nonbelievers and the negatives.
  • ·         Never forget your original vision.
  • ·         Talk about it—talk about your goals out loud. Let others know what you want to accomplish.
